St Monica’s Child and Youth Care Centre, situated in the heart of the Bluff in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is a non-profit, non-government Institution belonging to the Anglican Diocese of Natal. The Centre accommodates children from KwaZulu-Natal who are orphaned, abandoned and/or found to be at risk.

The center accommodates 84 children and youth. The ages of the children range from 3 to 18 years for girls and 3 to 12 years for boys. Their secondary service is aimed at providing a range of non-residential services for children and families to improve their quality of life in order to minimize the need for residential care.

Utility Systems focus this year for corporate social responsibility is to assist the community at large, including children, the elderly and animals. Utility Systems have revamped the flooring in the children’s bookstore, painted the kitchen and stock room, as well as installed shelving in the stock room. Utility Systems is now installing educational water-saving signage in all the bathrooms, teaching the children about how to save the world’s most valuable resource, water.
