Sihle Ndlovu and Sbonelo Mazibuko, primary shareholders of Inzalo Capital Holdings, are the respective Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Inzalo Utility Systems. Their passion for the preservation of the world’s most valuable resource, water, drove the pair to partner with Utility Systems, in order to strengthen the company’s position in the market. This has proved to be a valuable partnership, as Inzalo Utility Systems continues to move from strength to strength despite turbulent economic times.
Sihle Ndlovu (Executive Chairman), from Impendle Village in Mpumalanga., grew up on his family’s farm herding cattle and helping his parents to price the goods they sold to the community. Growing up poor motivated Sihle to pursue a career in finance, specifically chartered accounting, and to use his farming knowledge to make a difference in other people’s lives.
His parents, who placed a high value on education, taught him the benefits of tenacity, overcoming failure, and resilience, Sihle was the first person in his family to matriculate. Today he holds numerous tertiary qualifications, including:
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA),
- Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the UK’s Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA),
- National diploma in Cost and Management Accounting (CMA),
- Postgraduate diploma in Accounting and Finance, and
- Certificate in Business Management on Developing Counties from China’s Ministry of Commerce.
A Member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA), Sihle is currently pursuing his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, focused on ‘Ethical Leadership Framework to Curb Corruption and Promote Good Governance in South Africa’.
Sbonelo Mazibuko (Chief Executive Officer), a proudly South African visionary, hailing from Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, attributes his success to his motivation to provide for his family, the staff working under his leadership, as well as the communities in which the Inzalo Group of companies operate. An assertive, strategic, and disciplined leader, he values education, vision, and strategic thinking as the foundation on which his career path is being built.
A lifelong academic, Mazibuko has a BSc in Electronic Engineering from the Durban University of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Government, Business, and Ethics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. At present he’s a PhD candidate at Wits, studying the impact of smart water meters on consumption and revenue collection.
Mazibuko is no stranger to municipal finances. After eight years’ tenure as a provincial budget analyst at the KZN Provincial Treasury, he was seconded to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in 2013. During this time, his passion for changing the status quo in the economy of South Africans, as well as the lives of every South African family.
